I want to tell you about a great place to plan a vacation that involves water, forests, wildlife, fishing and relaxing.  It's called Island View Resort and it represents a truly peaceful and wonderful way to take a break from everything stressful in your life.

At Island View, we strive to provide you with a totally relaxing vacation experience that gives you the same feeling that owning a cabin on a beautiful lake would do...without the headaches that come with ownership.  Let us do the worrying and maintenance...you just show up and enjoy the best that Northern Minnesota can offer.

Resort Profile

Island View Resort was established on a sandy beach in the Northeast corner of Sand Lake over fifty years ago.  It has established a reputation of customer service and consideration over the course of its' storied history.

The Sand Lake area has been home to many famous as well as notorious individuals throughout the years and tales of their exploits abound.  Island View Resort has hosted its' own share of area history ranging from the importation of Chicago dance bands every weekend to the birth of a famous Wisconsin water ski show right out in our bay.   A few minutes travel North of the resort lies the famous Lost Forty Acres....a chance to see virgin Minnesota timber forever saved from the lumberjack's axe by a survey error on a rainy day. The nearby Cutfoot Ranger Station provides maps to a walking tour of Indian burial mounds and hosts nature classes every week during the summer.
